Our guides through the world of the violin are Polish luthier <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"206\">Tadeusz S\u0142odyczka<\/b> and members of the international jury\u2014both violin makers and musicians. The film showcases the art of luthiery alongside a wealth of H. Wieniawski\u2019s music, performed to perfection.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The film <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"9\">&#8222;<\/b><strong><span class=\"gs_tkn\">The\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"gs_tkn\">Violin:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"gs_tkn\">Idiosyncrasies\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"gs_tkn\">of\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"gs_tkn\">a\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"gs_tkn\">Perfect\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"gs_tkn\">Creation<\/span><\/strong><b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"9\">&#8222;<\/b> is another attempt to uncover the mystery of an object that bridges two forms of art: the visual and the musical. One artist crafts them&#8230; and they are beautiful. Another artist uses them\u2014plays them\u2014creating additional beauty while simultaneously providing interpretation. A violin that is unappealing in shape or lacks aesthetic refinement usually fails to produce a sound anyone would wish to hear.<\/p>\n<p>All violins are remarkably similar. Often, if they do not resemble the proverbial Stradivarius, musicians cry out: <i data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"115\">&#8222;But Stradivarius didn&#8217;t do it that way!&#8221;<\/i>&#8230; and so, luthiers continue to craft them just as they did 300 or 400 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Why is it that in a world where everything can be measured, calculated, and scrutinized down to the atomic structure\u2014a world where all-powerful computers rule\u2014beautifully sounding violins cannot be manufactured in a factory, but must be bought from an artist-luthier?<\/p>\n<p>Why, in a world where perfection is elusive, where individualism is manifested by calling anything &#8222;art,&#8221; is the violin always made the same way? Why is every single instrument different, yet so similar to the next? Why do we speak of a mystery? And finally, why is it said that they possess something human and inscrutable\u2014the &#8222;soul&#8221; or &#8222;spirit&#8221; of the instrument?<\/p>\n<p>There is also something else, once discussed by experts but understood by few today: the <b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"89\">&#8222;tone&#8221;<\/b> of the violin. It is something that can be worked upon. It lies hidden within the wood shaped by the artist&#8217;s hand, and the musician must read, find, and extract it through music. The violinist must cooperate with the instrument, get to know it, and understand it\u2014just as the violin must &#8222;get to know&#8221; the violinist. It seems that the excellence of the music defines the value of the instrument. Yet, for many creators in the film, the material itself must already resonate like music. W 1919 r. sta\u0142y si\u0119 na kr\u00f3tko oficjalnym znakiem powsta\u0144czego wojska w Wielkopolsce, a w wojnie polsko-bolszewickiej 1920 r. znaczy\u0142y \u017co\u0142nierzy-ochotnik\u00f3w oraz wspomagaj\u0105cych wojsko duszpasterzy, tzw. kapelan\u00f3w lotnych.<\/p><p>W 2008 r. przywr\u00f3cenia kokardy narodowej (kt\u00f3re zosta\u0142o zainicjowane ju\u017c w 2006 r. w Poznaniu), podj\u0105\u0142 si\u0119 \u015bp. Lech Kaczy\u0144ski Prezydent Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej. Od tej pory bia\u0142o-czerwone kokardy zdobi\u0105 uczestnik\u00f3w \u015bwi\u0105t narodowych \u2013 11 Listopada i 3 Maja.<\/p><p>Zgodnie z zasadami podkre\u015blaj\u0105cymi nadrz\u0119dno\u015b\u0107 god\u0142a herbowego, a nie pola tarczy, na kt\u00f3rym god\u0142o wyst\u0119puje,\u00a0kokard\u0119 polsk\u0105\u00a0upina si\u0119 biel\u0105 w \u015brodku.
